HOW DOES IN WORK
When your organization and supporters travel as a group it enables you to get a reduced price versus individual travel. Funds will be raised by marking up the cost of travel. Our top travel supplier for fundraisers is Carnival Cruise Line (Carnival). Carnival has been offering support to non-profit organizations for years. As an extension of their support, they have developed a fundraising program that provides donated funds for a specific group departure of eight
cabins or more. Our travel consultants have used this program numerous times over the years to help local non-profit organizations with much success.
Pineapple Dream Vacations will help your organization select a cruise and block off an agreed upon number of cabins that will be sold to members of the organization, family, friends and any other supporters. The way the Carnival Fundraising Program works is, Carnival will donate $5 per day, per guest, up to two guests per stateroom, for every day of the cruise. So on a 7-day cruise that would be $35 per person or $70 per cabin. If you sell fifty cabins, that would be $3,500!
You can also mark up the cost of the cruise to increase your fundraising monies. We recommend marking the cost up by $20 per person. Using the above example, that would be an additional $2,000 (50 cabins X 2 passengers=100 passengers X $20=$2,000).
